Star Search 2010 才华横溢出新秀 2010

Established to discover a pool of talent for the local media industry, Star Search returns in its 10th instalment to scour Singapore and beyond for stars in the making. This year, the audition process which begins in Taipei and ends in Singapore, is passing through Kuala Lumpur and Shanghai in its search for talent. The production crew is hitting the streets to actively seek out worthy talents in addition to working with marketing partners to organise open auditions in the 4 cities. From the night markets of Taipei to the shopping malls of Shanghai, audiences will be able to follow this exciting talent hunt in weekly episodes airing from 30 August. The hosts include Dasmond Koh and Quan Yi Fong. A selection of 10 female and 10 male semi-finalists will be revealed in October with no preset quota for each city. The top 10 candidates, regardless of gender, will proceed to compete in the grand finals in December. After 9 instalments and an illustrious list of alumni, Star Search remains the definitive platform to break into the Chinese-language entertainment scene. Contestants are not only vying for the title of champion, cash, but also the coveted 2-year contract under MediaCorp.
