As Asia’s first interactive variety-drama, Star Idol is a gripping showdown between candidates, gifted in both looks and acting talents. Contestants must endure series of arduous rounds of play-acts that comprise different roles and scenarios. Here, they must prove their acting versatility and strength to prevent elimination from the competition. Once chosen, the final 8 will proceed to star in an interactive soap opera. The judges’ scores and viewers’ vote count will eventually result in the elimination of weaker finalists. Hence, changes will be made to the story-plot as the drama unfolds. The coveted title of Star Idol will be given to the last person standing!
